Adolfo (bal-yay'-ve-an) Ballevian

BALLEVIAN, Adolfo (bal-yay'-ve-an), president of Bolivia; died in Oruro, 14 February 1874. After being very prominent in political life for many years, he succeeded General Morales on his death in 1873. Bal-levian's administration began in April of that year, and lasted ten months only, when his sudden death caused profound regret and great alarm.
