Annie M. Andrews

ANDREWS, Annie M., nurse, born in New York in 1835. During the prevalence of yellow fever at Norfolk, Virginia, in 1855, she became widely known for her earnest and devoted labors among those stricken by the epidemic. The Howard association subsequently presented her with a gold medal in acknowledgment of these services.
