Arthur F. Hopkins

HOPKINS, Arthur F., jurist, born in Virginia in 1796; died in Mobile in February, 1866. He removed to Alabama early in life, and became a prominent Whig politician, practised law successively in Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, and Mobile for many years, was one of the judges of the superior court of the state, and during his later years was president of the Mobile and Ohio railroad.
