WINSLOW, Benjamin Davis, clergyman, born in Boston, Massachusetts, 13 Feb, 1815; died in Burlington, New Jersey, 21 November, 1839. He was graduated at Harvard in 1835 and at the Episcopal general thee-logical seminary, New York, in 1838, and the same year became assistant to his uncle, Reverend Dr. (afterward Bishop) George W. Dearie, in the pastorate of St. Mary's church, Burlington, New Jersey He was ordained deacon in May, 1838, and priest in March, 1839. Mr. Winslow was a graceful writer and accomplished preacher. His "Sermons and Poetical Remains" were edited by Bishop Doane, who prefixed a notice entitled " The True Catholic Churchman in his Life and Death" (New York, 1841).
