Charles Jeremiah Hoadley

HOADLEY, Charles Jeremiah, librarian, born in Hartford, Connecticut, 1 August, 1828. He was graduated at Trinity college in 1851, studied law, and was admitted to the bar, but never practised. In April, 1855, he assumed charge of the Connecticut state library. He has edited the "New Haven Colonial Records, 1638 to 1665 " (2 vols.), and "Colonial Records of Connecticut, Vols. 4 to 15, 1689 to 1775" (completed in 1887).
