KEITH, Charles Penrose, lawyer, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 15 March, 18;54. He was graduated at the University of Pennsylvania in 1873, and taught for a year, after which he studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1877. Pot a few years he acted as librarian of the Historical society of Pennsylvania. He is the compiler of "The Provincial Councillors of Pennsylvania who held office between 1733 mid 1776, and those Earlier Councillors who were some time Chief Magistrates of the Province, and their Descendants " (Philadelphia, 1883), and has contributed historical and genealogical articles to periodicals.
