Charles William Quick

QUICK, Charles William, clergyman, born in New York city, 4 October, 1822. He was graduated at Yale in 1843, and at Alexandria theological seminary, Virginia, in 1848. He was ordained to the ministry of the Protestant Episcopal church, and was rector of parishes in New York and Pennsylvania till 1876, when he joined the ministry of the Reformed Episcopal church. He edited The "Episcopal Recorder" in 1866-'81, The "Christian Woman " in 1885, and the works of Ezekiel Hopkins (Philadelphia, 1863) ; "Righteousness by Faith," by Charles P. McIlvaine (1864); and the works of John Owen (16 vols., 1865).
