David Ford Jones

JONES, David Ford, Canadian member of parliament, born in Brockville, Canada, in 1818. He was educated at Upper Canada college, and subsequently engaged in business as a manufacturer of agricultural implements, he has been war of Leeds and Grenville, and commanded the Gananoque artillery for several years. He was an unsuccessful candidate for the Canadian parliament in 1863, but was elected in January, 1864, and served till the union. He was elected to the Dominion parliament in 1873, and again in 1878.
