BINNEY, Hibbert, clergyman, born in Nova Scotia, 12 August 1819. He was educated at King's College, London, and at Worcester College, Oxford. He was graduated with classical and mathematical honors in 1842, became a fellow of his College, and was tutor there from 1846 till 1851, when he returned to Nova Scotia, and was consecrated as the fourth Anglican bishop of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
