Jacob Post Giraud Foster

FOSTER, Jacob Post Giraud, lawyer, born in New York City, 8 April 1827; died there. 26 February 1886. he was graduated with the first honors at Columbia in 1844, studied law in Harvard Law School, and was admitted to the bar in 1848. He practiced in New York City, and gained a high reputation, especially as an insurance lawyer.
