CONLEY, John Dikeman, scientist, born in Brockport, Monroe County, New York, 14 September, 1843. He was graduated at the State normal school, Albany, in 1863, and at Hamilton College in 1869. During the same year he was elected to the chair of chemistry and natural sciences in Blackburn University, Carlinville, Illinois He has published a series of geological charts of all the ages and epochs, illustrated with two hundred figures of characteristic fossils.
