HYNEMAN, Leon, editor, born in Montgomery county, Pa., in 1806; died in New York city in 1880. He was a Hebrew and a Freemason, and" founded the order of Female Druids, he wrote and published "Ancient York and London Grand Lodges," afterward entitled "Hyneman's Review" edited the "Masonic Library," a collection of Masonic pamhlets the "World's Masonic Register" (Philadelphia, 1860); and the weekly "Masonic Mirror and Keystone" (Philadelphia, 1852-'60).--His sister REBECCA (Mrs. Rhyn) is a contributor to periodical literature.
