Pablo de La Guerra

LA GUERRA, Pablo de, jurist, born in California; died in Santa Barbara, California, 5 February, 1874. He was the son of Don Jose Antonio de la Guerra y Noriega, a native of Spain, who went to Mexico as an officer of the Spanish army. Don Jose was for many years commandant at Santa Barbara, and, at his death in 1858, left over 100 descendants. Three of his daughters married Americans. Pablo, the most eminent of his sons, studied law, was elected to the state senate, and was for a long time judge of the 1st judicial district of California.
