Samuel Hood

HOOD, Samuel, lawyer, born in Moyle, County Donegal, Ireland, about 1800; died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, about 1875. He emigrated to Philadelphia in 1826, and became a member of the bar of that city. He published "A Practical Treatise on the Law of Decedents in Pennsylvania" (Philadelphia, 1847), and "A Brief Account of the Society of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick," prepared for the Hibernian society of Philadelphia (1844), and contributed to periodicals.
