Solomon Woolf

WOOLF, Solomon, educator, born in New York city, 6 January, 1841. He was graduated at the College of the city of New York in 1859, and in the same year was appointed tutor in descriptive geometry there and in the Cooper Union. In 1878 he was appointed to the professorship of geometry and drawing in that college, which chair he has since held. Besides various contributions to the press, he has published "A Course in Descriptive Geometry" (New York, 1888).
