COMER, Thomas, actor, born in Bath, England, 19 December, 1790; died in Boston, 27 July, 1862. He acted at Covent Garden and Drury Lane theatres, and in 1827 came to the United States, and was successively musical director at the Tremont theatre, the Museum, and the Boston theatre. His forte was acting eccentric parts and Irish impersonations. He was skilled in musical composition.
