Thomas Maskell Findley

FINDLEY, Thomas Maskell, educator, born in West Mahoning, Pennsylvania, 29 September 1847. He was graduated at Monmouth College, Illinois, in 1874, and at Princeton theological seminary in 1879, haying previously taught for two years. He was ordained pastor of the Presbyterian Church at Indianola, I0wa, 22 June 1880, and on 10 October 1883, was appointed president of the University of ' southern Dakota, at Pierre, which he had founded and organized. In 1885 he became pastor of the 9th Presbyterian Church, St. Paul, Minn. Some of Mr. Findley's articles contributed to the newspaper press have been widely copied.
