Thomas Raymond Hyland

HYLAND, Thomas Raymond, archbishop, born in Dublin, Ireland, 3 November, 1837; died in Trinidad, W. I., 9 October, 1884. He entered the Dominican order in Tallaght, Ireland, in February, 1856, and was ordained priest in Rome, 22 December, 1864. He was consecrated bishop of Enrea, in partibus, in Rome, 30 April, 1882, and appointed coadjutor archbishop of Trinidad. While attending on the sick there he contracted a malignant fever, of which he died.
