Thurlow Weed Barnes

BARNES, Thurlow Weed, author, born in Albany, New York, 28 June 1853. He was graduated at Harvard in 1876; was chairman of the Albany general committee in 1886; traveled in Europe in 1882; and made the tour round the world in 1884-'5. He is a grandson of Thurlow Weed, and is the author of the second volume of the "Life of Thurlow Weed " (2 vols., Boston, 1884), and of "Souvenir of Albany Bicentennial" (Albany, 1886).
