William Brockenborough

BROCKENBOROUGH, William, jurist, born 10 July, 1778; died in Richmond, Virginia, 10 December, 1838. He represented Essex County in the legislature, and was subsequently a councilor. He became judge of the general court in 1809, and retained that office until 1834, when he was appointed one of the judges of the court of appeals, an office that he retained until his death.
