William Thomas Minor

MINOR, William Thomas, jurist, born in Stamford, Connecticut, 3 October, 1815. He was graduated at Yale in 1834, taught at Stamford from that year till 1841, studying law in the mean time, and was admitted to practice in 1840. He was a member of the legislature of Connecticut for eight years, governor of that state in 1856-'8, and consul-general at Havana from 1864 till 1867, when he resigned In 1868 he was appointed a judge of the superior court of his native state, but resigned in 1873.
